Introduction

Lilavati Lalji Dayal Night College of Commerce, established in June 2018, is committed to maintaining and enhancing quality in higher education through a structured and systematic approach. In alignment with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established in December 2022 with the objective of institutionalizing quality culture and ensuring continuous academic and administrative improvement.

Since its inception, the IQAC has been actively involved in planning, guiding and monitoring quality initiatives across the institution. It plays a proactive role in organizing skill enhancement and value-added courses for students, aimed at improving employability, professional competence and overall personality development. The IQAC also takes a strong initiative in organizing conferences, seminars, workshops and faculty development programmes for teachers and students, fostering research orientation, academic growth and professional development.

The IQAC functions as a catalyst for quality assurance by encouraging innovative teaching-learning practices, promoting ICT integration, strengthening feedback mechanisms, and ensuring systematic documentation and reporting of institutional processes. Through its sustained efforts, the IQAC contributes significantly towards achieving academic excellence, stakeholder satisfaction and holistic institutional development.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the IQAC at Lilavati Lalji Dayal Night College of Commerce are:

To develop a systematic and sustained mechanism for continuous improvement in academic and administrative performance.
To promote quality culture through internalization and implementation of best practices in teaching, learning, evaluation and support services.
To ensure timely, effective and progressive performance of all academic and administrative operations.
To strengthen relevance and quality in academic programmes for increased stakeholder satisfaction.
To integrate modern methods and ICT tools in teaching, learning and institutional functioning.
To enhance credibility of evaluation procedures and student outcomes.
To optimize utilization of resources for inclusive and equitable quality education.
To prepare and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC as per its prescribed guidelines.

Functions and Responsibilities of IQAC

Promote quality culture in academic and administrative activities.
Develop benchmarks for continuous quality improvement.
Organize skill enhancement and value-added courses for students.
Conduct conferences, seminars and workshops for faculty and students.
Encourage innovative teaching-learning practices and ICT integration.
Collect and analyse stakeholder feedback for quality enhancement.
Document institutional activities and prepare NAAC reports (AQAR/SSR).
Monitor and review institutional performance for sustained development.
